FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AOINEKO RELEASE CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED DEBUT FILM Fragile Machine Arrives on DVD After 4 Years in Production TOKYO, Japan – March 15, 2005 – After international art honors from Canon, Acer, Rockstar Games, NYU, French high-fashion designer Thierry Mugler, and museums around the world, animation and music studio Aoineko have released the stunning debut CG anime opera Fragile Machine. The film, a joint US-Japan-Taiwan production, merges CG and music in a new method of postmodern storytelling. The film shuns traditional dialogue and narrative structure for a hypnotic and nonlinear examination of humanity's roots and future. Prior to its official release, Fragile Machine had already won the “Directors' Choice: Best Animated Film” Award at the Sedona International Film Festival, as well as being featured as an official selection at the “Taipei Future Imprint” exhibition. The film has been released on DVD on its official website ( www.fragilemachine.com ) and in addition to special features, includes subtitles in English, Japanese, French, and Chinese. As a nod to their foreign fans, Aoineko have opted to release the film region free.
